Although landscape photography has been my mainstay for many years,  many reasons now preclude me from getting up pre-dawn or staying up late at night to take the quintessential shot of a particular location.  Therefore, I try to capture the essence of places at other times of the day,  when most of us, in any case, are likely to experience them.  Hopefully they still manage to engender a sense of wonder and awe.
